Garmin may be preparing to launch a new smartwatch with LTE connectivity. According to recent reports, this upcoming device is expected to offer phone-free messaging and location tracking. It will reportedly be available in multiple colors and in a wider range of countries compared to its previous model.
Is the Garmin Bounce 2 on the Horizon?
Reports from Garmin Rumors point to the imminent release of a new kids’ smartwatch called the Bounce 2. This rumor surfaced shortly after the unreleased Garmin Venu 4 was spotted on the company’s Swedish website. The new Bounce 2 is expected to retail for around £200-£250 in the UK, a market where the original Bounce was not sold.
Anticipated Features and Availability
While full specifications for the Bounce 2 are not yet available, it is rumored to come in three colors, similar to its predecessor. The original Bounce, released in November 2022, offers LTE connectivity with a subscription, enabling features like voice and text messaging, GPS location tracking, and an Assistance feature without needing a paired smartphone. Other features include sports apps, check-in reminders, and weather updates. The older model is currently available in the US, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and several European countries. It remains to be seen exactly when the Bounce 2 will be officially released and in which markets it will be available.
