Garmin Issues Quick Fix: Software 13.25 Lands for Instinct 3 Series

Just two days after the debut of version 13.24, Garmin is back with a fresh stable firmware update for its rugged wearable lineup. This latest release, Version 13.25, is now targeting a broad range of the newest Instinct hardware, ensuring that the latest generation of adventurers stays on track without technical hiccups.

Compatible Devices

The update is currently rolling out to the following models:

  • Instinct 3 AMOLED & Instinct 3 Solar

  • Instinct E

  • Crossover AMOLED

Critical Bug Fix: Smart Alarm Stability

  • Fixed a potential issue that may cause a crash with Smart Alarm

While this update may seem small in scale, it addresses a significant “quality of life” issue. The primary focus of Version 13.25 is a fix for a potential system crash triggered by the Smart Alarm feature. Before this patch, some users encountered instances where the device would become unresponsive or reboot when the alarm was set to wake them during optimal sleep cycles. This stability tweak ensures that your morning routine—and your watch—remains uninterrupted.

How to Install the Update

While Garmin typically rolls these updates out in phases, you don’t have to wait for the automatic sync. You can force the download immediately by following these steps on your watch:

  1. Open the Main Menu.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Navigate to System.

  4. Tap on Software Update.

  5. Select Check For Updates to begin the installation.
