Garmin has officially begun the rollout of its latest Beta Software Update, version 13.14, targeting its newest lineup of rugged wearables. This update is specifically designed for the Instinct 3 AMOLED, Instinct 3 Solar, Instinct E, and Crossover AMOLED smartwatches. As part of Garmin’s ongoing commitment to refining user experience, this release focuses on resolving specific functional bugs discovered in previous firmware iterations.
Enhancements for the Instinct 3 and Instinct E Series
The primary fix included in this rollout addresses a frustration for indoor athletes using the Instinct 3 and Instinct E models. Users had previously reported that the “Calibrate & Save” option was intermittently missing after completing a Treadmill Walk activity. This version ensures that the calibration tool is consistently available, allowing walkers to accurately sync their watch data with the treadmill’s distance readout before saving their session.
Specific Fixes for Crossover AMOLED Users
In addition to the general treadmill fix, the Crossover AMOLED receives a dedicated optimization in this beta cycle. Garmin has addressed a glitch involving workout animations. On the hybrid display of the Crossover, these animations—which guide users through various exercises—should now render smoothly and correctly, ensuring that those following pre-loaded workouts have a clear visual guide for their form and timing.
