Garmin is introducing a beta software update version 17.14 to a selection of its premium smartwatches. This update is specifically designed for users of the Fenix 8, Fenix E, Enduro 3, and Tactix 8 models, aiming to enhance the overall user experience through targeted bug fixes.
Note: The Beta software available for the Fenix 8 series will have the ECG feature and Dive features disabled.
Key Enhancements in Version 17.14
This new beta release addresses several minor yet impactful issues reported by users. One notable fix resolves a display problem on the Custom Focus Modes Color Select Page, ensuring that users can now accurately choose and apply their preferred colors without glitches.
Precision and Stability Improvements
Another significant correction in version 17.14 involves the barometer watch face complications. Garmin has fine-tuned the decimal precision for these readings, providing more accurate atmospheric pressure data directly on your wrist. Additionally, a persistent issue with the Timer Page closing unexpectedly when initiating a timer has been resolved, offering a smoother and more reliable timing function for all users.
How to Get the Update
Users eager to experience these improvements can manually download the update directly to their compatible device. To do so, simply navigate through the smartwatch’s menu: go to Main Menu > Settings > System > Software Update > Check For Updates. This process allows you to quickly access and install the latest beta software and benefit from the recent enhancements.
