Garmin rolls out new beta update 26.07 for Fenix 7, Epix 2 ,and Marq Gen 2 models

Garmin has officially launched Beta Version 26.07, a fresh software increment designed to refine the user experience across its premium smartwatch lineup. This update is specifically tailored for owners of the Fenix 7 Series, Epix 2, Enduro 2, Quatix 7, and Marq Gen 2 series. While this release focuses on stability rather than flashy new features, it addresses several critical bugs reported by the community in previous builds.

Targeted Fixes for Core Functionality

The primary focus of version 26.07 is polishing existing tools to ensure a seamless sync between the wrist and the cloud. Key improvements included in the change log are:

  • Power Manager Alignment: Garmin resolved an annoying discrepancy where data shown in the Power Manager app on the watch didn’t match what was displayed in the Garmin Connect mobile app.

  • Garmin Coach Stability: A significant bug that caused some watches to unexpectedly shut down while using the Garmin Coach training tool has been successfully patched.

  • InReach Navigation: For those who rely on satellite communication, the update fixes a navigation glitch within the InReach Widget that previously hindered button responsiveness.

How to Install the Beta on Your Device

Garmin has made the installation process straightforward by enabling downloads directly over Wi-Fi, removing the need for a wired connection to a computer. Users currently enrolled in the Beta program can manually trigger the update to ensure they are running the latest code.

To check for the update on your compatible device, navigate through the following steps:

  1. Open the Menu.

  2. Scroll down to System.

  3. Select Software Update.

  4. Tap Check For Updates.
