Garmin Smartwatches Receive Pokémon-Themed Update for World Sleep Day

In an unexpected collaboration, Garmin and The Pokémon Company have joined forces to bring the beloved world of Pokémon to the wrists of fitness enthusiasts everywhere. Released in honor of World Sleep Day, these new digital watch faces draw inspiration from the popular Pokémon Sleep app, blending iconic creature designs with Garmin’s robust health-tracking ecosystem.

Bringing Pokémon Sleep to Your Wrist

The partnership introduces two distinct watch face designs, both now available for free via the Garmin Connect platform. These aren’t static images; they are designed to interact dynamically with your smartwatch’s data, particularly focusing on your daily activity levels.

  • Pokémon Sleep: Snorlax & Friends: This design features the famously sleepy Snorlax alongside several classic starter Pokémon from the original generation. Its clever integration with Garmin’s “Body Battery” feature means that Snorlax’s pose changes throughout the day to reflect your current energy levels. At night, the Pokémon adopt random positions, adding a playful touch to your sleep-tracking experience. Additionally, the face supports three customizable data complications, allowing users to track metrics like heart rate or step counts alongside their favorite characters.

  • Pokémon Sleep: I Choose You: Offering more customization for data-heavy users, this face provides space for five different complications. The star of this design is the ability to select from 48 different Pokémon, making it a highly personalized option. Like its counterpart, the Pokémon displayed here will adjust its posture based on your Body Battery, ensuring your watch face is always in sync with your physical recovery.

Extensive Compatibility Across the Garmin Lineup

Garmin has ensured that these new features are accessible to a vast portion of its user base. Rather than limiting the release to high-end models, the company has enabled compatibility across a wide range of its current and recent smartwatches. Supported devices include:

  • Fenix Series: Fenix 8, Fenix 8 Pro, and Fenix E.

  • Forerunner Series: Forerunner 165, 265, 570, 965, and 970.

  • Venu & Vivoactive: Venu 2, 3, and 4; Vivoactive 5 and 6.

  • Others: Instinct 3, Epix Pro, and Epix Gen 2.

By integrating these fan-favorite characters into daily activity monitoring, Garmin continues to find creative ways to keep health tracking engaging. Whether you want a relaxing Snorlax to monitor your energy or a wide selection of Pokémon to populate your screen, these new additions provide a fun, personalized aesthetic for your daily training and recovery.
