Garmin Rolls Out New Stable Update Version 14.17 for Instinct 3

Garmin is sending out a fresh software update for the Instinct 3 smartwatch. The new version, labeled 14.17, is a stable release, meaning it is ready for daily use and should be free of major bugs.

Treadmill Tracking Gets a Fix

  • Fixes an issue with treadmill calibration failing to result in more accurate treadmill

The main highlight of this update is a fix for indoor runners. Previously, some users noticed that the treadmill calibration feature was failing. This glitch messed up how the watch calculated indoor running distances. With version 14.17, Garmin has patched this bug, so your treadmill stats should now be much more accurate.

How to Get the Update Now

If your watch hasn’t updated automatically yet, you can force the download yourself. Just press the main menu button on your Instinct 3, then navigate to Settings, scroll down to System, tap on Software Update, and select Check For Updates.
