Garmin Issues Quick Beta Update 17.31 for Venu X1 Smartwatches

Garmin is rolling out a brand new software update for its Venu X1 smartwatch. The new software, Beta Version 17.31, is arriving just seven days after the company launched its previous beta version. This fast release shows Garmin is working quickly to clean up a few performance bugs on the device.

Core Fixes for Crashing and Freezing

The primary goal of this update is to keep the smartwatch running smoothly without any interruptions. Garmin has fixed an annoying bug that caused the Venu X1 to reset itself randomly during the day. Additionally, the development team patched a serious issue that made the watch freeze or completely reboot right in the middle of a multisport workout, so users will no longer have to worry about losing their exercise metrics.

Screen Response and Feature Tweaks

Along with the stability fixes, the update adds a few smaller improvements for daily use. Users should notice that the touchscreen responds much better when adjusting the volume up or down. For those who track their daily food intake, the watch’s nutrition app will now display the exact minutes instead of just the hour when logging meal times. Lastly, the software includes updated language translations for the device’s menus. You can see the full change log in the picture below!
