Garmin has a fresh update ready for your bike. The new software, version 33.11, is out now for the Edge 1050, 850, 550, and MTB.
If your device has been acting a little strange lately, this update is here to help fix those annoying bugs and make your rides better.
What Changes and Fixes Are Included?
The changelog for version 33.11 highlights a few specific problem areas that Garmin has resolved.
First, the update fixes a weird glitch where certain icons would completely vanish from the home screen, leaving blank spaces behind. Second, it solves an annoying issue with Garmin Coach. Previously, the coaching feature was acting a bit strange by only offering rest days and refusing to show up properly on the home screen.
Alongside those specific fixes, Garmin also worked on general device stability and squashed a handful of smaller background bugs to make the computers run smoother on long rides.
How to Install the Update on Your Edge
If you want to grab this new software version right away, the process is very simple and does not require connecting your device to a computer.
All you need to do is connect your Edge bike computer to a stable Wi-Fi network. Once connected, follow these steps right on your device:
-
Head over to the Main Menu.
-
Select System.
-
Click on About.
-
Choose Check for Updates and let the device download the new files.
