A Major Leap in Display and Design

The most immediate visual upgrade across the entire Marq Gen 3 family is the display. Departing from the 1.2-inch screens found on the previous generation, all Gen 3 models step up to a larger, borderless 1.4-inch AMOLED display. Protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire lens and housed in a rugged Grade-5 titanium case, the new screens offer significantly improved vibrancy and screen real estate while maintaining the high-end aesthetic expected from a luxury watch collection.

Despite the shift to a brighter, larger display and power-hungry internal hardware, Garmin has managed to preserve impressive longevity, with the collection rated for up to 18 days of battery life in standard smartwatch mode.

Advanced Connectivity: LTE and Satellite inReach

The most significant functional evolution in the Marq Gen 3 series is the integration of standalone connectivity. Borrowing capabilities from Garmin’s latest rugged outdoor ecosystems, the new tool watches feature built-in inReach technology. Users can now send text messages, share real-time location tracking via Garmin Locate, and trigger 24/7 emergency SOS responses through the Garmin Response coordination center—all over LTE or satellite networks without needing a smartphone nearby.

Furthermore, Garmin has packed modern convenience features directly into the titanium chassis. Every model now includes a built-in speaker and microphone for phone calls and voice commands, the Garmin ECG app for heart rhythm monitoring, and the fan-favorite built-in LED flashlight for dark environments.

The Six-Model Lineup: Familiar Favorites and a New Tactical Flagship

The collection expands from five to six distinct models, tailoring specific hardware, bezels, and straps to distinct industries and hobbies:

  • MARQ Commander ($2,399.99): Marking its debut in the luxury tier, the Commander bridges the gap between Garmin’s high-end Marq aesthetic and tactical hardware. It features a camo jacquard-woven band, micro-knurled titanium buttons, a matte-black ceramic UTC bezel, night-vision compatibility, Stealth Mode, and an integrated Applied Ballistics solver for long-range targeting.

  • MARQ Diver ($2,299.99): Evolving from the previous Captain model, the Diver is built for marine environments. Rated for scuba, apnea, and snorkel diving down to 40 meters, it introduces tactile, leakproof buttons, autopilot helm controls, and a 15-mm micro-adjustable strap designed to fit easily over thick wetsuit sleeves.

  • MARQ Athlete ($2,199.99): Geared toward runners and endurance competitors, the Athlete pairs a durable silicone rubber strap and a VO2 max ceramic bezel with advanced performance analytics, including running economy metrics, power curves, and real-time stamina tracking.

  • MARQ Adventurer ($2,199.99): Designed for high-altitude exploration and mountaineering, this model combines a full-grain Italian leather strap with a 360-degree compass ceramic bezel inlay and real-time ClimbPro insights to track gradient, distance, and elevation gain.

  • MARQ Aviator ($2,399.99): Tailored for pilots, the Aviator features a padded calfskin leather bracelet, a polished black ceramic UTC bezel, dynamic flight mapping, NEXRAD aviation weather reporting, and direct-to-airport emergency routing capabilities.

  • MARQ Golfer ($2,299.99): Sporting a green ceramic 18-hole bezel inlay and a custom jacquard-woven strap, the Golfer comes preloaded with more than 43,000 global courses, offering Virtual Caddie shot recommendations and slope-adjusted green contour data.

Global Pricing and Availability
