Over the past few weeks, I spent a lot of time looking at global regulatory databases. I checked filing after filing to figure out when Garmin would launch its next big sports watch. After finding early certification clues and seeing the Enduro 4 pop up in international compliance portals right after the Fenix 9 series came out, the puzzle pieces finally came together. Today, Garmin officially announced the Garmin Enduro 4, and it is every bit the battery monster we expected.
If you are an ultra-runner, a long-distance backpacker, or someone who loves tracking wearable tech news as I do, this launch is a huge deal. Let’s look at what Garmin’s newest outdoor watch offers, from its amazing battery specs to its everyday features.
Enduro 4 vs. Enduro 3: What’s New?
The new Enduro 4 looks a lot like the Enduro 3, but it comes with a few major upgrades under the hood. Garmin doubled the storage to 64GB, added 50% more RAM, and updated the map engine so map panning is 30% faster. It also adds new software tools like Garmin Epic for multi-sport sessions, better stamina tracking, rucking support with pack weights, and a built-in flashlight, all while keeping the incredible solar battery life that fans love.

Incredible Battery Life and Solar Power

The Enduro series is famous for its battery life, and the Enduro 4 pushes those limits even further. Garmin did this by using a power-efficient 1.4-inch Memory-in-Pixel (MiP) display with a 280 x 280 resolution. They paired it with their updated Power Sapphire glass, which puts solar cells right inside the screen cover.
Without any solar charging, the watch gives you 36 days of battery life under normal use. Once you go outside and get enough sunlight, that number jumps up to 90 days. But the coolest part happens if you turn on expedition or power-saver mode while you are outside. Because the solar cells keep soaking up sunlight all day long, Garmin says the Enduro 4 can reach infinite battery life. Even when you use the GPS to track workouts continuously, it still runs for up to 144 hours.
Tough Design and Useful Tools
True to its outdoor name, the Enduro 4 comes with a large 51-millimeter case and a 15.7-millimeter thickness. It is built for bigger wrists, but the tough polymer case uses a light, premium titanium bezel to keep the weight down while offering 5 ATM water resistance.
Garmin also included its best utility feature: the built-in LED flashlight. Whether you are looking for gear inside a dark tent or running down a dark road before sunrise, this light is one of the most helpful tools you can have on your wrist.
Health Tracking and Smart Features
Inside the rugged body, the Enduro 4 is packed with Garmin’s best software. It has heart rate and SpO2 tracking, a skin temperature sensor, and a working ECG sensor for heart health checks.
For navigation and daily life, the watch has 64 GB of storage. That gives you plenty of space for offline maps, apps, and local music. It also comes with full GPS navigation, Garmin Pay for contactless payments, and more than 100 sports profiles for everything from trail running to skiing.
Price and Release Date
After weeks of tracking code names and certification documents, the wait is finally over. Garmin set the official release date for the Enduro 4 on October 9, 2026, with a price of $899.99.
If you prefer a classic MIP screen that you can easily read in bright sunlight and want a watch that can live off the grid, the Enduro 4 is ready for the trail.
