Garmin Rolls Out New Beta Update 23.25 for Fenix 8/8 Pro, Tactix 8, and Enduro 3

Garmin has quietly started rolling out a fresh software patch aimed at fixing some of the most annoying bugs currently hitting its high-end lineup. Beta version 23.25 is rolling out now, targeting users with the Fenix 8, Fenix 8 Pro, Fenix E, Enduro 3, Tactix 8, and Quatix 8 on their wrists. Rather than adding flashy new features, this update focuses on stability, tackling sudden device reboots and unreliable voice controls that have been frustrating athletes mid-workout.

Ending Workout Resets and Voice Command Freezes

The most critical fixes in this update address random device crashes that could wipe out activity tracking. Garmin resolved a persistent issue where watches would unexpectedly restart the moment a user hit save on a completed workout. The patch also fixes a secondary crash triggered whenever a watch received a live spectator message. On the software control side, engineers fixed two separate glitches involving the wake word, stopping the watches from freezing up or failing to hear user commands entirely.

Minor Upgrades for Tactix, Pro, and Menu Translations

Besides the major stability fixes, the update cleans up several hardware-specific features and system text. Tactical models receive a fix so watch timers remain completely quiet when Stealth Mode is active, preventing accidental tones during silent operation. Meanwhile, Pro models get updated satellite orientations to better receive L-band signals. Garmin also cleaned up various menu translation errors across multiple languages to make text easier to read.

How to Download the Beta Version

While Garmin usually sends updates out automatically over time, users enrolled in the beta program can skip the queue and grab version 23.25 immediately. To update manually, open the watch’s Main Menu, navigate to Settings, select System, scroll to Software Update, and tap Check For Updates to begin the download.
