Garmin has officially announced a significant integration with the reproductive health app, Natural Cycles (NC°). This collaboration allows select Garmin wearable users to leverage their device’s skin temperature sensors to gain deeper insights into their fertility and hormonal health. By automating the data transfer between the hardware and the software, Garmin aims to provide a more seamless experience for users tracking their cycles.
Advanced Temperature Syncing for Fertility Insights
The core of this partnership lies in the synchronization of overnight skin temperature data. Natural Cycles, which is an FDA-cleared Class II medical device, utilizes these temperature fluctuations alongside other biological markers to determine a userās daily fertility status. Previously, many users had to manually input temperature readings; however, this integration allows compatible Garmin watches to record this data during sleep and automatically upload it to the NC° app. This information is used by the app to help users either plan or prevent pregnancy, or simply track symptoms related to perimenopause.
Compatible Devices and Regional Availability
While this feature is a major step forward for Garminās health suite, it is currently limited to specific high-end and mid-range models. The devices currently supporting the Natural Cycles integration include:
-
Fenix 8
-
Forerunner 970 and 570
-

In addition to hardware requirements, the service is currently geofenced. Users can access this integration if they are located in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Australia, Brazil, Singapore, Norway, or Switzerland.
