Garmin has just released a fresh beta software update, version 23.30, for several of its popular smartwatches. This new patch is rolling out to the Fenix 8, Fenix 8 Pro, Fenix E, Quatix 8, Tactix 8, and Enduro 3 models.
Note: The Beta software available for the Fenix 8 series will have the ECG feature and Dive features Disabled.
Key fixes and improvements in version 23.30
- Fixes issues when recording voice notes while connected to earbuds.

The main highlight of this update focuses on improving audio features. Garmin addressed a frustrating glitch where recording voice notes failed or glitched whenever the smartwatch was connected directly to Bluetooth earbuds. With version 23.30, users can now capture clear audio memos through their wireless headsets without the feature crashing or dropping out.
On top of the audio patch, Garmin included several minor bug fixes under the hood. These small background tweaks are designed to polish performance, boost overall system stability, and eliminate minor software hiccups that users might have noticed during daily tracking.
How to get the update on your device
If your watch is enrolled in the beta program, you do not have to wait for an automatic download. You can check for the update manually right now by opening the Main menu on your watch, navigating to Settings, selecting System, then tapping Software Update and choosing Check For Updates.
