Garmin is finding a new way to keep its users loyal. The company is introducing exclusive discounts for people who pay for its premium app subscription, Garmin Connect+.
A new section called “Exclusive Offers” will soon appear in the Garmin Connect app. Through this page, paying members will be able to find, copy, and use special discount codes when buying Garmin gear.
The update turns the app from a simple fitness tracker into a retail loyalty program. It means regular users who like to upgrade their smartwatches or buy new training gear can save a good amount of money.
How the Discounts Work

Garmin is keeping some strict rules on how these deals can be used:
-
Who gets them: To get the discounts, you must be a regular subscriber. This means you either paid for a full year upfront or you have been paying monthly for at least six months in a row.
-
The limits: Users can only get two discount codes for Garmin devices and accessories every 180 days. Once you reveal a code, you have 180 days to use it before it expires. You also cannot mix these codes with other sales or store offers.
-
Where it is live: Right now, the discount feature is rolling out on Garmin’s support pages for customers in the United States and Canada.
What Items Will Be Included?
Garmin has not shared a full list of products that will get cheaper. However, I think the biggest savings will likely be on accessories.
While Garmin rarely lowers the prices of its top-end watches like the Fenix or Forerunner series, accessories are a different story. Items like replacement watch bands, carrying cases, and heart-rate chest straps are cheap to make but usually expensive to buy. Garmin can easily discount these items and still make a profit. In fact, early images from Garmin show that their HRM 600 chest strap is already included in the deal.
Interestingly, things like Garmin apparel, events, and partner deals will not count toward your two-code limit.
Why is Garmin Doing This Now?
Until now, Garmin Connect+ has only offered extra software features and deeper health data. For many everyday athletes, paying a monthly fee just for app data was a hard sell. By adding real hardware discounts, Garmin gives users a physical reward that can quickly cover the cost of the subscription.
The timing of this move is also interesting. There are rumors that Garmin is preparing to launch a new type of wearable tracker, currently codenamed “CIRQA.” If a new screenless band or body tracker comes out soon, giving subscribers cheap access to extra straps and matching accessories is a smart way to get people to buy into the ecosystem.
Subscribers should keep an eye on their app notifications. Garmin will soon start sending alerts so users don’t miss out on these new deals.
