Unseen Garmin Approach S72 Photos Surface on NCC Taiwan: A Closer Look at Model A05146

Just when you think all the regulatory secrets have been dug up, another batch of testing photos pops up. Following hot on the heels of the recent hardware drops, I went digging back into NCC Taiwan and spotted brand-new exterior and testing photos for the recently launched Garmin Approach S72 (filed under model number A05146), which surfaced on August 10, 2026.

Even though Garmin has already officially introduced its ultimate golf smartwatch to the world, seeing these raw lab documents gives us an unfiltered look at the hardware straight off the testing bench.

What the NCC Testing Photos Reveal

The newly uncovered filings for model A05146 give us a clear view of the watch outside of polished press renders:

  • The Design & Build: The bench photos showcase the sleek carbon gray casing paired with the textured brown ComfortFit fabric band and the distinctive physical button layout.

  • The Scale & Angles: Standard calibration rulers in the testing documents outline the dimensions of the watch casing, giving us clear top-down, profile, and rear sensor angles.

  • Regulatory Layout & e-Label: The files also detail the electronic labelling screen (M/N: A05146), showing how the certification and model data are embedded directly into the software interface for regional compliance.

It might be a little late for a pre-release leak now that the Approach S72 is officially out and on wrists, but for hardware sleuths who like to see every single filing from the certification databases, these lab photos are always a great find.
