Garmin Instinct 3 gets new beta software update 10.26: New features & bug fixes

Garmin has just released a new beta software update, version 10.26, for several of its smartwatches, including the Instinct 3 AMOLED, Instinct 3 Solar, and Instinct E. This update brings a variety of new features, bug fixes, and performance improvements across the different models. Users can now expect a more polished and reliable experience, with fixes addressing everything from heart rate zones to activity tracking and specific issues with the Golf and Jump Rope activities.

What’s New in the Update

The changes in the 10.26 beta update are split among the different smartwatch models. All models benefit from Interval Alerts being added to timers, along with fixes for the Power Modes menu and potential issues with HR zones and area calculations.

Specific to the Instinct 3 Solar and Instinct E smartwatches, users will see improvements to the DogTrack feature, which now correctly displays distances over a mile. The update also fixes a potential crash when viewing glances and resolves issues with the Nautical Distance data field.

For the Instinct 3 Solar and Instinct 3 AMOLED models, the update adds Rep Alerts for the Jump Rope activity and addresses various problems with the Golf activity, including the Golf Autoshot feature. It also fixes a bug where the flashlight strobe could turn on incorrectly during a multisport activity.

The Instinct 3 Solar model gets an exclusive update with the addition of Solar Intensity and Solar Accumulation data fields. Meanwhile, the Instinct 3 AMOLED receives fixes for a flashlight delay when using a CIQ watch face, missing weather data, and issues with the music data screen.

How to Get the New Software

If you own one of the supported smartwatches and want to install the beta update, you can do so directly from your device. Simply navigate to Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update > Check For Updates. The new software will then be downloaded and installed.
