Garmin releases new beta update 23.16 for Fenix 7, Epix 2, and Marq Gen 2 smartwatches

Garmin is officially pushing a fresh beta software update, version 23.16, to several of its top-tier smartwatches. This new update is intended for the Fenix 7, Epix, and Epix Pro series, as well as the Enduro 2, Quatix 7, and MARQ Gen 2. This release focuses on fixing a few key issues to improve overall stability and user experience for owners of these popular devices.

What’s New in the Update

  • Fixed an issue where pairing CT10 sensors would fail.
  • Fixed an issue with navigation in the Hunt activity.

This latest software iteration specifically addresses two significant bugs. First, it corrects an issue that was preventing users from successfully pairing their CT10 golf sensors with their smartwatches. This fix will be a welcome change for golfers who rely on the CT10 sensors to automatically track their shots.

Additionally, the update resolves a problem with the navigation function within the Hunt activity. Users who utilize this feature will now be able to navigate more accurately and reliably during their hunting excursions.

How to Get the Update

To receive this new beta software on your compatible device, you can perform a manual check for the update. Simply go to the Main menu on your smartwatch, then navigate to Settings, select System, and finally choose Software Update. From there, you can select Check For Updates to download and install the new software.
