Garmin Enduro 3 Receives New Features Via Latest Stable Update 23.31

Garmin has released software update 23.31 for Enduro 3 smartwatches. The patch brings a few new features to the wrist, sharpens existing controls, and fixes several annoying bugs that were messing with workouts and audio.

Here is a simple look at what is changing and how to get it.

New Features for Runners and Divers

The update adds a couple of helpful tools for active users. When you get ready to head out, your watch will now suggest a quick running workout to help kick off your session.

If you dive, you can now share your dive computer settings with nearby friends using the Garmin Share app. Skiers also get a dedicated indoor XC Ski activity to track indoor cross-country sessions. Additionally, Garmin integrated support for Xero range and sensor data directly into the Applied Ballistics app.

Smarter Controls and Flashlight Tweaks

Garmin made subtle tweaks to make everyday navigation smoother. The watch flashlight now lets you cycle through on, off, and strobe modes while you are actively tracking a sport.

Touchscreen control is also more reliable. The update reduces accidental screen unlocks when the touch lock feature is turned on, preventing unintended taps. Volume controls now offer more on-screen context, making it clearer when you are adjusting sound levels.

Fixes for Workouts and Music Glitches

A major chunk of version 23.31 focuses on fixing small errors that impacted daily use:

  • Pace Dropouts: Resolves a bug where speed and pace data dropped out, particularly during interval training.

  • Workout Crashes: Fixes device resets during free strength workouts and audio/host software updates.

  • Training Plans: Fixes issues selecting rest days, matching training days with Garmin Coach plans, and starting multisport suggestions.

  • Audio Bug Fixes: Fixes volume jumps after alarms, restores volume levels after water ejection, and fixes missing lap shortcuts in HIIT mode.

Language translations across the system have also been updated to ensure text reads correctly.

How to Get Update 23.31

If your Enduro 3 has not downloaded the software automatically over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, you can pull it manually from your wrist.

Go to Main Menu > Settings > System > Software Update > Check for Updates.
