Garmin CIRQA: New Trademarks Suggest a Launch is Just Around the Corner

Garmin is getting closer to launching a brand-new fitness wearable. The company just filed trademark applications for a device called the “Garmin CIRQA” in both Europe and Canada.

These new filings follow earlier leaks in Singapore and the United States, meaning the gadget is likely being prepared for a global release very soon.

What the Device Will Track

According to the official patent descriptions filed with European and Canadian authorities, the CIRQA is designed to measure physical health. It will track things like body recovery, physical strain, and even mental stress.

Gadgets & Wearables believes the device might include a special Electrodermal Activity (EDA) sensor. This type of sensor reads the tiny electrical changes on your skin to see how stressed you are. However, it is also possible that Garmin will just use heart rate tracking to guess stress levels, a method they already use on their current smartwatches.

No Screen, Better Battery

Earlier certifications show that the Garmin CIRQA will connect to your smartphone using only Bluetooth. Crucially, it does not have a built-in GPS module.

Because it lacks a screen and GPS, this device is expected to compete directly with simple, screenless fitness bands like the Whoop 5.0, the Google Fitbit Air, and the Polar Loop. These trackers focus entirely on health data and usually have much better battery life because they don’t have to power a bright display.

A Secret Weapon for Garmin Watch Owners

Rumors suggest that the CIRQA will not just be for people who want a simple wristband. It might also work as an upgrade for people who already own a premium Garmin watch, like the Fenix 8.

If you wear both devices during a workout, they can work together to track your movements more accurately. This teamwork will give you a much deeper and cleaner analysis of your daily exercise.

Garmin has not yet announced an official price or a specific release date for the CIRQA, but with the paperwork piling up, an official announcement could happen any day now.
