I Just Spotted 3 New Garmin Devices in Korea Database: Are These Vivosmart 6, Cirqa, or Edge 1060

The best tech stories aren’t found in flashy press releases. They are buried in boring government databases.

Recently, I was checking South Korea’s RRA (National Radio Research Agency) database, and I hit the jackpot. Three brand-new, unannounced Garmin model numbers just popped up: AA5192, A05147, and A0P3039.

To be completely honest, the Korean database didn’t show much. It just lists them as “Specific low-power wireless devices,” which doesn’t help us know the products well. I immediately tried to dig deeper and look for more information in the FCC, IMDA, and even SIRIM databases to get some real clues, but I couldn’t find anything yet. They are totally locked down.

The filings do show a global manufacturing trail—with units made in Taiwan and Myanmar. But seeing them hit the RRA means these devices are real and getting ready for the market.

So, what are they? Are we looking at the highly anticipated CIRQA smart band, the elusive Vivosmart 6, or the rumored Edge 1060 cycling computer?

Let’s look at the clues we have.

Clue #1: The Vivosmart 6 vs. CIRQA Mystery

3 new Garmin devices appeared in RRA

Just days ago, a massive clue dropped right in Garmin’s own backyard. A user survey inside the Garmin Connect app accidentally leaked the name Vivosmart 6, proving the device is very much alive in Garmin’s internal system.

At the same time, rumors have been spinning out of control over CIRQA—a screenless tracker meant to compete directly with health bands like the WHOOP.

Looking at the new RRA data, Model A05147 and Model AA5192 (both made in Taiwan) cleared certification within weeks of each other. Because Garmin usually certifies different sizes or regional variants at the same time, it is highly likely that these two numbers represent the Vivosmart 6 family, or perhaps the official debut of the CIRQA line.

Clue #2: Is the Edge 1060 Already on the Horizon?

The third number on my radar is Model A0P3039, with its manufacturing trail tied to Myanmar.

Whispers in the cycling community have hinted at a June release window for a new flagship bike computer. While some riders think it is too early for a full-blown Edge 1060 (considering the Edge 1050 hasn’t been out for very long), Garmin’s rapid pace of innovation says otherwise. Cyclists have been demanding upgrades to Bluetooth chips to handle multiple sensor connections—like radars, power meters, and tire pressure sensors simultaneously.

If A0P3039 isn’t a new cycling computer, my secondary suspect is a marine device, but a high-end Edge unit fitting this timeline makes perfect sense.

The Verdict

Even though Garmin is withholding details from the FCC and IMDA for now, the Korean RRA database shows they are getting ready to launch something soon. We probably won’t have to wait until the end of the year to see what these actually are.

My money? We are about to get a massive summer launch featuring a new generation of compact fitness trackers—whether they call it Vivosmart, CIRQA, or both.

The case isn’t fully closed yet, but I’ll keep watching the databases. Stay tuned.
