Garmin releases new beta update 26.06 for Fenix 7, Epix 2, and Marq Gen 2 watches

Garmin has officially launched a new beta software update, version 26.06, targeting its high-end wearable lineup. This release is specifically designed for the Fenix 7, Epix Gen 2, Enduro 2, Quatix 7, and Marq Gen 2 series. As part of Garmin’s ongoing refinement process, this version focuses on stabilizing core applications and ensuring data consistency across the Garmin ecosystem.

Addressing Performance and UI Glitches

  • Fixed text irregularities between the watch and Garmin Connect in the Power Manager app.
  • Fixed a potential shutdown issue on the Garmin Coach app.

The primary focus of version 26.06 is on “under-the-hood” polish. One of the key fixes addresses text irregularities within the Power Manager app, ensuring that the information displayed on your wrist matches exactly what you see in the Garmin Connect mobile application. Additionally, the developers have patched a critical bug in the Garmin Coach app that was causing devices to spontaneously shut down, providing a more reliable experience for athletes following structured training plans.

How to Install the 26.06 Update

While many updates are delivered automatically over time, members of the Beta program can skip the wait. To trigger the download immediately, follow this path on your compatible smartwatch:

  1. Open the Main Menu.

  2. Scroll to and select Settings.

  3. Navigate to System.

  4. Choose Software Update.

  5. Select Check For Updates to begin the installation.
