Garmin has started sending out a fresh beta software update, version 32.14, for several of its popular bike computers. If you ride with an Edge 1050, 850, 550, or MTB model, this patch brings a handful of useful fixes designed to make your rides smoother.
What Changes in Version 32.14?
This update focuses on fixing annoying glitches rather than adding flashy new tools. Most notably, Garmin fixed a map bug that caused issues when viewing unpaved roads, along with a problem where saved locations were accidentally getting wiped out.
Here is the full list of what got fixed:
-
Cleaner Maps: Unpaved roads now load and display correctly on your screen.
-
ClimbPro Fix: The feature no longer drops the biggest climb from your route profile.
-
Accurate GPS Info: Fixed a bug that showed the wrong GPS software version.
-
Saved Locations: Stopped a glitch that randomly deleted saved spots on your map.
-
Better Stability: Fixed minor bugs to stop the computer from crashing or lagging.
How to Get the Update
If you are enrolled in Garmin’s Beta Program, downloading the patch is simple. First, make sure your device is connected to a local Wi-Fi network.
From your main screen, head to Main Menu, tap System, select About, and then tap Check For Updates to start the download.
