Garmin is rolling out a brand-new beta software update, version 33.15, for its popular bike computer lineup, including the Edge 1050, 850, and 550.
This fresh release comes hot on the heels of beta update 33.13, which landed just six days ago and brought select features from the newer Edge 1060 over to these devices.
What’s New in Beta 33.15
- Fixed support for BaseCamp.
- Improved device stability and fixed various minor bugs.
While this update is smaller than the previous one, it tackles a couple of important fixes requested by riders. Garmin has officially restored support for BaseCamp, making it much easier once again to plan and sync your cycling routes directly to your device.
Alongside the BaseCamp fix, the new software patch focuses heavily on general stability improvements. It squashes various minor bugs behind the scenes to help keep your bike computer running smoothly on every single ride.
How to Install the Update
If you want to grab the new beta software on your Edge computer, the process is quick and simple. First, make sure your device is connected to a Wi-Fi network. From there, head over to the Main Menu, select System, click on About, and tap Check for Updates to download and install version 33.15.
Note to users: If you see “Collecting diagnostics…” go to Menu > System > Diagnostics > Upload RAM Dump.
