Rumor: New Garmin CIRQA Won’t Replace Your Watch—It Goes on Your Other Arm

Garmin might be working on a new way to track your fitness. A fresh rumor suggests that an upcoming device called the Garmin CIRQA Smart Band could change how we track our daily exercise.

Here is what we know so far about this new tech.

A new gadget for your other wrist

We first heard about the Garmin CIRQA earlier this year when it accidentally popped up on Garmin’s website in Canada. Since then, tech fans have been guessing what it can do.

Recently, a user on Reddit shared a very interesting idea before deleting their post. They claimed that the CIRQA is not meant to replace your current Garmin smartwatch. Instead, you are supposed to wear it on your other wrist. This means you would wear a regular Garmin watch on one arm and the CIRQA smart band on the other to track your workouts together.

Better and faster workout tracking

Why would anyone wear two tracking devices at the same time? According to the rumor, using both devices makes fitness tracking much more accurate.

If you go for an outdoor run, both devices will work as a team to instantly detect your movement and turn on the watch’s GPS. Users will likely get to choose how this works. You can either let the devices start tracking completely on their own, or you can set it to send an alert to your wrist so you can press “start” yourself.

The rumor also says that wearing both devices will help prevent gaps in your fitness data, ensuring you never lose track of a tough workout.

What else can it do?

Even though it can team up with a smartwatch, the CIRQA will likely work just fine on its own. Experts believe the smart band will still track your heart rate, count your steps, and tell you how well your body is recovering after a hard workout.

For now, we have to wait and see if these rumors are true. The original Reddit post did not include any proof, and Garmin has not officially announced the CIRQA yet. We still do not know how much it will cost or when it will go on sale, but it could be a game-changer for fitness fans.
