Garmin has started sending out a new test update for several popular smartwatches. Beta version 27.15 is now available for the Fenix 7, Epix 2, Enduro 2, Marq Gen 2, and Quatix 7. This patch focuses on fixing a few annoying bugs that were crashing devices and messing up daily features.
What changed in this patch?

The biggest fix in this release targets a serious bug that was forcing watches to completely turn off whenever users tried to run navigation features. If you were relying on your watch to guide you on a trail or route, it should no longer crash mid-trip.
Garmin also sorted out a frustrating audio bug. Watches built without Wi-Fi capabilities were accidentally blocked from accessing music controls, but this patch restores full control over playback. Connectivity got another important tweak as well: the system now allows open-connection heart rate monitors (HRM sensors) to pair smoothly without getting blocked by the watch.
Finally, a couple of daily usability issues have been polished up. The screen will no longer exit Sleep Mode early or at the wrong time, saving you from bright displays in the middle of the night. On top of that, the weather widget received a stability fix, so your local temperature and forecast data actually update as they should instead of getting stuck on old information.
How to get the update on your wrist
If you are part of Garmin’s public beta program, your watch might download the patch automatically over the air. If you do not want to wait, you can grab it manually right now.
On your watch, hold the menu button, scroll down, and tap Settings. From there, go to System, select Software Update, and hit Check For Updates.
