Garmin Rolls Out New Beta Update 15.13 for Instinct 3 Smartwatches

Garmin has started rolling out a new beta software update for three of its popular smartwatch models. Users with the Instinct 3, Instinct E, and Crossover AMOLED can now test out version 15.13.

The update is designed to smooth out a few bumps and improve the overall user experience before the software gets a wider, official release.

Digital Wallet Fix Included

  • Fixed a possible crash when adding a card to Garmin Pay.

While it is a minor release, this update brings a crucial fix for people who use their watch to pay on the go. Garmin resolved an issue that caused the smartwatch to crash or freeze when users tried to add a new payment card to Garmin Pay.

With this bug out of the way, setting up contactless payments should now be quick and seamless.

15.12 Change Log (since 14.15, current Public release):

All I3/IE:

  • Improved gear suggestions for Hike activities.
  • Fixed potential issue with Treadmill distance calibration.

AMOLED only:

  • Fixed issue where date could display incorrectly on the watch face in some languages (Tactical only).
  • Fixed potential issue where sleep data would not display correctly in morning report in some languages.

AMOLED/Solar only:

  • Added support for Xero range sensor data in the Applied Ballistics app (Tactical only).
