I Have Just Spotted Two New Garmin Outdoor Devices in Certification Database—Is This the Fenix 9?

I spend a lot of time digging through regulatory databases looking for early hints on upcoming wearables, and today’s find is a big one. Just days after spotting a mysterious new Garmin outdoor device under the model number A05146, two more unreleased models have just popped up.

Freshly certified on July 14, 2026, these new devices carry the model numbers A05419 and A05420.

Because these two numbers are sequential, they likely represent two different sizes or versions of the same product line. And given how Garmin categorizes its hardware, there is a very strong chance we are looking at the highly anticipated Garmin Fenix 9 series.

Here is everything we know so far from the leak, and why these new listings change the speculation around Garmin’s upcoming launch.

The Database Leaks: What the Filings Reveal

The new certifications come from Indonesia’s telecom regulatory database. Both listings were published on the same day and share almost identical details, pointing to a simultaneous release.

Here is the raw data from the filings:

  • Model 1: A05419

  • Model 2: A05420

  • Approval Date: July 14, 2026

  • Applicant: PT Garmin Indonesia Distribution

  • Category: Outdoor Product

  • Country of Origin: Taiwan

Like most early regulatory filings, the exact commercial names are hidden under generic labels. Garmin simply lists them as an “Outdoor Product.” However, this specific tag is exactly what Garmin uses for its premium multi-sport GPS watches, including the Fenix, Epix, and Enduro lines.

Why This Points Strongly to the Fenix 9 Series

When I spotted model A05146 last week, it was a lone device. It left us wondering if it was a standalone release like a next-generation Enduro 4 or perhaps a new version of the Fenix E.

But these two new models (A05419 and A05420) offer much stronger evidence of a major flagship rollout.

When a brand registers two model numbers side-by-side like this, it almost always means options. In Garmin’s world, that usually translates to different case sizes (like a standard Fenix 9 and a larger Fenix 9X) or distinct connectivity options (like a Solar version versus a Non-Solar version).

Given the timing, we could easily be looking at the core lineup of the Fenix 9 and Fenix 9X, or perhaps the Fenix 9 alongside a next-generation Fenix E 2.

What’s Next?

With three distinct “Outdoor Product” model numbers now cleared by regulators in just a matter of weeks, Garmin is clearly ramping up for a major launch. The paper trail is getting thick, and the hardware is finalized enough to be sent through global compliance testing.

I’ll be keeping a close eye on the FCC and other regulatory databases over the coming days to see if any hardware schematics or wireless testing details leak out next. Stay tuned, because the next generation of Garmin adventure watches feels closer than ever.
