Garmin rolls out fresh stable update 27.09 for Approach S70: What’s new?

Just one month after launching version 27.07, Garmin has released another new software update for its Approach S70 smartwatches. The latest stable version, labeled 27.09, focuses on fixing a key issue that interrupted user activities.

What’s New in Version 27.09

While this isn’t a massive feature update, it addresses a frustrating bug. According to Garmin’s release notes, the main fix in version 27.09 stops the watch from randomly crashing when you try to save an activity.

• Primary Fix: Resolved a system crash issue during activity saves.

• Target Devices: Garmin Approach S70 series.

How to Install the Update Manually

Garmin is rolling out this software over the air, but you don’t have to wait for the automatic download. You can check for it manually right on your wrist:

1. Press the Main Menu button.

2. Go to Settings.

3. Select System.

4. Tap Software Update, then choose Check For Updates.
