Garmin is pushing out a new beta update for several of its rugged smartwatches. Software version 15.14 is now rolling out to the Instinct 3 AMOLED, Instinct 3 Solar, Instinct E, and Crossover AMOLED models, bringing a mix of bug fixes, new features, and subtle tweaks.
What’s New for All Watches
Every watch in this update lineup gets a few shared improvements. Garmin tweaked the gear suggestions for Hike activities to help you track your equipment more effectively. They also fixed a bug that messed up distance calibration during treadmill workouts, as well as a rare glitch that caused watches to crash when adding a new card to Garmin Pay.
Fixes Specific to Display and Power Settings
Depending on which model you own, you’ll notice a few specific fixes:

Instinct 3 AMOLED: Tactical edition owners will no longer see date display errors on certain language watch faces. Morning reports also got a fix so sleep data displays properly across all languages.

Instinct 3 Solar: Garmin brought back the “Auto Select Satellites” option in the Power Manager settings after it accidentally went missing in a previous build.

Instinct 3 Solar & Instinct E: Fixed an issue where CIQ data fields were obscured, resolved blank watch face data fields in certain languages, and corrected the dog pointer direction inside the DogTrack glance.
Tactical Upgrades and Race Features
Garmin didn’t just patch bugs—they added a couple of useful tools for specific user groups:

Tactical Extras: The Applied Ballistics app on the Instinct 3 AMOLED and Solar (Tactical models) now supports Xero range sensor data.

Obstacle Racers: If you wear an Instinct 3 AMOLED, Solar, or Crossover AMOLED, you can now view a full obstacle list directly in your post-activity summary after an Obstacle Race.
How to Get the Update
If you are enrolled in Garmin’s public beta program, your watch may download the update automatically. However, you can also trigger the download manually by opening the Main Menu, navigating to Settings, selecting System, tapping Software Update, and choosing Check For Updates.
