Just one week after dropping beta update 31.62, Garmin is back with yet another release for its cycling lineup. The company has officially started rolling out beta software version 31.63 for the Edge 1040, Edge 840, and Edge 540 bike computers.

How to Install the Update on Your Device
Getting the new software onto your bike computer takes only a few moments over a wireless connection. Make sure your Edge is connected to a local Wi-Fi network, then follow these simple steps:

Open the Main Menu.

Select System.

Tap on About.

Select Check for Updates to download and install version 31.63.
Note to users: If you see “Collecting diagnostics…” go to Menu > System > Diagnostics > Upload RAM Dump.
